Admissions are open for Macquarie University Research Excellence Scholarship at Macquarie University, Australia. The scholarship allows students to enroll in PhD and Master level programs in any of the subjects offered at Macquarie University. The Australian government provides financial aid to foreign students through the MQRES. Candidates must submit an application directly to partner universities to apply for the (MQRES) scholarship.
The mission of the Macquarie University Research Excellence Scholarship Program is to provide financial support for outstanding research students in disciplines that complement the university’s strategic plan and priorities for research.

Eligible Countries:
Students from any country can apply for the MQRES Scholarship except Australia and New Zeeland
Eligibility Criteria:
- You must not be an Australian Permanent Resident and be a citizen of a nation other than Australia or New Zealand.
- You intend to enroll in a second-year Master of Research program or a doctoral program in S2 2023. (no deferrals possible)
- you intend to reside in Sydney, Australia during your candidature.
- you must meet the HDR English Language Requirement by the application Deadline.
- The candidate must have the valid visa allowing to commence your study in S2 2023.
Benefits of MQRES:
- a maximum three-year reduction in tuition fees.
- Maximum 3-year stipend; current rate in 2023 is $32,000 per year.
- For the necessary duration of the visa, Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC) with Medibank is required. The GRA will set up the successful beneficiary in a single, couple, family, or single parent family, as appropriate.

How to apply?
Application process will start from 1st January 2023 and will be end on 3rd March 2023. We advise applicants to submit their application as soon as they can before the deadline.
